SERVICE LAUNCH LIST

James Stevens No10 was the St.Ives Lifeboat from 1900 to 1933, during this time the lifeboat and her crew saved 237 lives, 2 dogs and prevented many vessels from becoming wrecked. It was common for her to be launched during gales and occasionally during ferocious hurricane force storms. On one occasion this lifeboat was launched 5 times and saved 40 lives in just one day. On another service launch the crew rowed the lifeboat for over four hours in order to effect a rescue.

The James Stevens No10 has a very impressive lifeboat service and rescue record, this is not only due to the amount of lives that this lifeboat and her crew saved, but also due to some of the heroic and selfless rescues that were performed.
